Welcome to the Angler Center on Goleta Pier. Conceived of as
an information kiosk it will be your first stop for local weather, tides,
fishing information, event calendar and educational outreach projects.
The Center is staffed by United Pier and Shore Anglers of California
(UPSAC) as part of their Model Pier Demonstration Project and officially
opened September 12th, 2008. The Center is now open from Thursday through
Sunday, 11am to 4pm and on most holidays as well as for special events.

The UPSAC staffer at the Center will also function as a Pier
Host similar to the camp host position within the State and County Park
systems. The intent is to monitor and mentor transactions at the
pier to insure a safe, pleasant and hopefully educational experience.
We hope to make the design and implementation of the Angler Center
an interactive project for all those who use the pier. To encourage
participation this page and the Goleta Pier Log will offer polls and questionnaires
soliciting your input.
